Hello, everyone!
This is Kumon from enish.

The cold days continue—how are you all doing? It seems like colds and the flu are going around aggressively, so please take care of yourselves. (The Kumon family had quite a rough time over the New Year’s holiday…)

Now that we’re halfway through the first month of 2025, what a packed two weeks it’s been! Apart from the New Year’s greetings, we’ve already released two letters, both related to economy adjustments. With this third letter, we’re shifting focus back to the game itself. As of two days ago, Phase 2 of the Battle Arena has begun, igniting the flames of fierce competition. Who will emerge as this season’s top player?

This update includes several quality-of-life improvements based on requests from past AMAs. I hope you’ll take some time to explore these changes on your device and experience the added convenience for yourself.

Now, let’s dive into the details.

Events & Campaigns

Battle Arena Season 1 Phase 2 (Starting 1/13)

Phase 2 of the Battle Arena has officially begun!
For reference, my first day ended with three wins and two losses—off to my usual start… frustrating!

・The following effects are granted to specific types of DOLLs on the same side.

New Features & Improvements

Team Formation Improvements

1) You can now view detailed stats for both the main and sub-decks during team setup.

2) In sub-deck formation, you can now press and hold the thumbnail of the list to see the parameters that are reflected before putting them in the sub-deck. Since it is a subdeck, the value is 1/3 of the actual parameter, which is the value that will actually be added.

These updates were requested during the December AMA and significantly improve usability. Next, we’re aiming to add functionality to filter specific parameters in sub-deck thumbnails.

Skill Position Rearrangement in Build Mode

Players can now rearrange skill positions via the pause menu in Build Mode. This uses the same interface as the Master DOLL detail screen.

This was a long-standing request since release, and we’re happy to deliver it now.

View Post-Evolution Skill Effects

The Post-Evolution Skill Effects can now be viewed in the Skill Details view.

Previously, only the evolution conditions were displayed, so the effects could not be confirmed.

Exclude Equipped Items During Batch Awakening

It is now possible to exclude equipped items during batch awakening of equipment.

This will help prevent accidents such as equipment being removed because it is being used as a material. We’re also exploring ways to improve the selection priority for base and material equipment during batch awakenings.

Build Mode GEEKBOX & Engraving BOX Drop Changes

We’ve implemented daily limits on the number of Build Mode plays where GEEKBOX and Engraving BOX drop rates apply.

※Build Mode can still be played beyond the daily limit, but drops will no longer be awarded.
※The limit applies to the number of plays with drop eligibility, not the total number of boxes you can acquire.

GEEKBOX Drop Limits

The daily play limit for GEEKBOX drops depends on your earn level:
earnLv Max Plays per Day
Below 407
6010
10018
20037
30058
500101
1000216
Note: The table highlights specific earn levels. For earn levels 60 and above, the daily play limit increases incrementally per level, and further increases continue beyond earn level 1000.

Engraving BOX Drop Limit

Daily Drop Limit
20times

For more details on the background and reasoning for these changes, please refer toour previous letter

xGEEK(earn) Purchases in the Shop (Starting 1/17)

You can now purchase xGEEK (paid), xGEEK (lite), and ADP using xGEEK (earn) directly in the in-game shop at the same rates as on My Page. These purchases are not affected by xGEEK withdrawal limits.

This method avoids withdrawal fees and offers a more convenient option. For more context, see our prior announcementLink.

Performance and Bug Fixes for Union Battles and More

・Optimized processing load when judging damage.
・Fixed a bug that caused the cool time display to be out of sync with the server.
・Optimized communication processing for live chat.
・Optimized UI gauge display processing in union battles
・Fixed a bug that caused the status of towers, etc. to be reset (no longer occurs on hand).

We are continuing to make improvements, especially in Union Battles. In particular, we have made some adjustments to the gimmick resetting issue that was so critical in Union Battles, and it no longer occurs when the number of players increases. We apologize for the inconvenience, but we would appreciate it if everyone could try it. Currently, we are working on the remaining items: the issue of the app crashing and the freezing issue.

Also, the first two issues are fixes that will have an effect outside of Union Battles.

Balance Adjustments

Balance Adjustments for Master Content Difficulty

The method for determining monster strength (combat power) has been updated:

[Previous]
Based on the total combat power of the team

[New]
Based on the combat power of the strongest DOLL x4

In all battle content, the outcome is heavily influenced by the performance of the controlled character. Previously, in content where monster strength (combat power) was determined based on team combat power, the total combat power of the team was used as the benchmark for setting the monsters' strength. As a result, if a team had one extremely strong DOLL or was composed of fewer than four members, the overall difficulty of the battle would drop significantly.

To address this, we’ve adjusted the system to base monster strength on the combat power of the strongest DOLL in the team, assuming a four-member formation. Since most players use a setup where their controlled DOLL has significantly higher combat power than the other three, you may notice that monsters now feel slightly stronger under this new adjustment.

Additional Improvements

・Union Shop & Yell Shop: Quantity can now be adjusted via sliders.
・Events: Bingo, Roulette, and Sugoroku will remain accessible during the display period after an event ends.
・Filters: A new "Unassigned" filter has been added.
・Shop: Starter Pack purchases now require reCAPTCHA verification.

Bug Fixes

Fix for Awakening Material Issue During ★5-3 Awakening

We have resolved a bug where generic awakening materials intended for ★5 to ★5-2 were mistakenly usable during the ★5-3 to ★6 awakening process.

Other Bug Fixes

・Battle: Fixed an issue where Hikari’s weapon would not display when equipped with the Christmas skin.
・Raid: Resolved a display issue where damage rankings with three or more digits caused misaligned text in the results screen.
・Raid: Fixed a problem where the guild rankings had incorrect display sizing.
・Team Formation: Corrected an error that occurred when the same DOLL was added to the sub-deck, causing an error upon confirmation.
・Wallet: Addressed an issue where the GEEK reward rank wrapped incorrectly when displaying two-digit ranks.
・Sealed BOX: Fixed an error that occurred when manually marking all items as opened and then using the bulk-open feature.
・Storage: Resolved a bug where the bottom row was not visible when scrolling to the bottom on iPads.
・Miscellaneous: Various minor bugs have been fixed.

Luna Official Last Memories Global Ambassador I aim to share the fun of Last Memories and attract new users! (〃∇〃) Luna-san, who energetically explores Web3 games, has joined us in the mission to attract new users.

Having your support is incredibly reassuring!

Thank you, and let’s make this happen together!
Chise-tan Official Light Gamer I want to introduce Last Memories to people who love games but are new to crypto or P2E and are curious about trying it. I’ll share perspectives on enjoying the game as both a gamer and an earner through Twitter. Chise-tan may call themselves a light gamer, but am I the only one sensing a core gamer vibe here...? 😏

That said, having experienced players helping beginners in the community always creates an engaging environment. We’re grateful for your presence and look forward to seeing your contributions!
Yabubu Frequent Visitor of the Student Counseling Office Ambassador Although I joined the ambassador team later than others, I’ll enjoy Last Memories just as much as, if not more than, my fellow ambassadors. I’ll create videos that everyone can enjoy! Wait, isn’t this the voice of Ritsu Ichimonji, Izumi Yabune-san!?

Your entertaining after-school streams are always a treat. Keep delighting the players with your streams, and we’ll keep looking forward to them!

(Note: Although voice actors applied via a separate route, we included this entry since it was submitted through the same form as the players.)
Zauru Official Country Dinosaur VTuber I’ll play alongside Union members and stream viewers while learning together! I’ll actively share the charm of the DOLLs, the fun of multiplayer, and how beginners or less experienced players can enjoy Last Memories to the fullest! Zauru-san, you’ve been working hard on Union operations.

Your streams, where you joyfully enjoy Last Memories as a VTuber, are truly heartwarming.

With its depth, Last Memories can be overwhelming for newcomers, so we appreciate any beginner-friendly content you can create!
Caffè Mocha Official Mirage Expedition Leader Reaching the depths of Mirage could fulfill the DOLLs’ wishes. I’ll document my adventures and share helpful information, focusing on Mirage exploration! Caffè Mocha-san applied as the Official Mirage Expedition Leader, and I can already feel a unique kind of pressure... 😅

While we work on implementing Mirage, we’d love for you to fully enjoy and share the existing Last Memories content in the meantime. Thank you!
